NWSL Roster Moves/Expansion Draft Lists

It was certainly a busy Monday in the NWSL where a number of trades were announced as well as the protected/unprotected lists for next week’s expansion draft. Not able to track all the moves? Just want all the info in one place? No worries, we got you.

Trades

Seattle Reign and Houston Dash

Seattle acquired Meghan Klingenberg and a conditional pick in the 2017 College Draft. In return, Seattle sent the rights to Amber Brooks and their first round pick in the College Draft (5th overall) to Houston. The Reign left Klingenberg unprotected for the expansion draft and the expectation is she will be taken by Orlando and traded to Portland.

Portland Thorns and Boston Breakers

Portland sent McCall Zerboni and Sinead Farrelly to Boston in exchange for Boston’s first round (2nd overall) and 2nd round (20th overall)picks in the 2016 College Draft. Boston then sent Dagny Brynjarsdottir, who they signed but were unable to agree to terms with, over to Portland in exchange for Portland’s 2nd round (20th overall) and 4th round (35th overall) pick in the 2016 College Draft. Essentially Portland received that 2nd round pick and traded it right back to Boston for Brynjarsdottir.

Orlando Pride and Portland Thorns

Orlando Pride acquired Alex Morgan and Kaylyn Kyle from Portland in exchange for Orlando’s first pick in the Expansion Draft, 1st pick (1st overall) in the 2016 College Draft and an international slot for the 2016 and 2017 seasons.

Orlando Pride and FC Kansas City

FC Kansas City sent Sarah Hagen and their 2nd round pick (15th overall) in the 2016 College Draft in exchange for Orlando’s 2nd round pick in the 2017 College Draft.

Lists for the 2015 Expansion Draft
